I am going to watch with great interest whatever public appearance JKR chooses to make tonight or tomorrow. I don't know if anyone saw what I thought I did, but... last time, when OotP came out, she made a midnight appearance, if I remember correctly, in a shop in Edinburgh. What I remember well was that while everyone else, both buyers and salesmen, had come dressed as HP characters, Joanne herself came as Buffy. I have not been able to find photographs of the event, but I was certain of it: clothes, colours, hairdo, she might as well have been made up and clothed by Joss Whedon's people. I did not think at the time that it could be coincidental, and it made me wonder (still do, for that matter) whether the very private Mrs.Rowling is a secret Buffy fan. It suited her, anyway, being small and blonde. I wonder what she will do this time?
