Anyway, of course terrorists still pose a threat. They will so long as the words of Mohammed are taken seriously. And the Internet has given them fearsome capacities of aggregation. Every tim I had to use a public computer or an internet cafe', I could see that at least one of the people nearest to me was surfing jihadist sites.

I want to take my youngest to Paris. Any non-English-speaking part of Europe, actually. I think she'd love it all, but she's my little bohemian Paris is top of the list.

Too much to love - but the ones I recite to myself are Hijja's, so one of those.

I once brought computer manuals to summer camp. That was a long time ago, before hacking was sexy. Before sex was sexy, for that matter.

Dudly the dog, a yellow doll as tall as me.

Don't know how to link - you can see them all if you want to. If I really need comments, I'll email. I do need you to email your address again, though. I have a postcard for you, but the parliament is no longer on the wall.

When the going gets tough, I get agnostic, then pray real hard that I'm confused. I trust my prayers will be answered, but that doesn't say anything about faith.

There was a Weasley family one I can't find, with baby Ginny and a bunch of little boys around a loving relaxed Molly and Arthur, but those calaban ones you linked to are lovely

5. Share a dorky story about yourself. Once when we were driving along a motorway I was trying to open a bottle of Coke that had been shaken, without it spilling everywhere. For a joke, my mother said to wind down the window and open it outside. Forgetting all the laws of physics, I did so. Fast car + liquid... You know what happens next.
6. What was your favorite toy at age 3? A big clown doll that was about as tall as my dad.
7. At age 7? My tape player because I used to have books that came with tapes so I could read along with them.

10. What are your spiritual beliefs? Hindu... I've never known anything different and oddly, as I've grown older, I've realised that I've declared myself a believer of some things (most importantly, karma) that I never realised were a part of Hinduism.

When I was twelve, I was in a swimming competition. When it was my turn to swim, I slipped and fell down, to the great hilarity of everyone else. I also came in last. On of my more humiliating memories.

My teddy dog, called Woef. When I lost it in a cab, I was distraught.

My doll, but I can't remember its name (maybe Nijntje, but I'm not sure).

If Gun's f_list were a community, then it would definitely be it. Otherwise, Deleterius is fun. I love lurking there.

2. Describe a bad habit of yours. I love to eat and read at the same time, which isn't good for me because I always eat too much without noticing.

4. If you should pick only one, what's your favorite HP fic? It used to be Sticks and Stones by PhantomTF, a pre-OOTP Snapefic, but after I got an overdose of fanon Snape I became tired of him. I don't have a favourite fic anymore.
5. Share a dorky story about yourself. In high school I went through a phase when I claimed that feudalism was the best social order and the kind of society I would like to live in. When one of my classmates asked me, "But what if you're born as a serf?" I had to admit, grudgingly, that I hadn't really thought out all the details.
6. What was your favorite toy at age 3? I don't remember, but I think it was a large teddy bear.
7. At age 7? Barbie.
8. What's your favorite lj community? For the past few months I've been obsessed with the TV show Lost, so it's lost_tv.

10. What are your spiritual beliefs? I'm mostly an agnostic and a little bit of a pagan. I can't believe in the existence of a deity who cares about right and wrong. I can only imagine gods and goddess who are amoral and capricious like the forces of nature. I think that good and evil are human inventions, which doesn't make them less important.
This is more a spiritual need than a belief, but when someone does something good to me I have the need to give back more than I received -- not necessarily to that person, but to the universe in general.
11. What is your favorite HP artwork? I don't look at fan art that often, but a remember a beautiful picture of Lupin painted in the style of Alphonse Mucha. I don't remember the name of the author or where I saw it.
12. Say something nice about another LJ user (not me). There used to be a person I would have singled out for a compliment, but now there are 10-15 people I enjoy talking to most because they are friendly and rational.
13. What do you eat for breakfast? Oatmeal with warm milk, raisins, vanilla extract, cinnamon and a drop of rosewater. Or when I don't have the patience to prepare it, a cheese sandwich.
14. What's something weird you enjoy that gets you odd looks from other people? I like to eat the "skin" that forms on top of boiled milk. I know only two other people who like to eat it, and many people who have a phobia of it.

Depends on my mood, really. DementorDelta's Parseltongue-tied has been a fave since it was written, so that's as good a choice as any, I suppose.
