What I have not seen in the media so far, and what I think is of the highest importance, is how the horror of Beslan is being received in the Muslim world. If the Muslim media and people show the least sympathy for the culprits, then we are in even more trouble than we thought.
Not all Muslims support what the Nazis did - just the extremists. Please do not think that it is common across the Muslim world - it is a political tool used by those clerics with a following to browbeat the uneducated and the poor into supporting their cause.
There are moderate Muslims out there who don't get shown in the media because rational people with sympathy for Israel and the West don't make good news stories. Just because CNN leaves them silent, doesn't mean their voice should be denied.
