I did not, in fact, insult Marie anywhere. I do despise her country. I have given plenty of reasons here. If you want to answer my points, do. If not, shut up. To ask me to change my mind about mass murder merely because a Dutchwoman happens to be my friend is to exert moral blackmail. It is not an argument. And if you think that it was easy for me to write this, you do not understand me at all. I do not like to criticize people, let alone break friendships. But I will break fifty friendships at once rather than admit that there is anything tolerable or defensible about the appalling behaviour of Rita Verdonk, let alone allow that there is anything whatever to be said for the murder of the old, the sick, and of disabled babies - all charming Dutch practices. These are facts, and facts that stand so much against any notion of decency that anyone who thinks I could tolerate them for a second must have understood absolutely nothing about me.
