Also, the idea that euthanasia is a local curiosity in the Netherlands the way fish'n'chips are in England made me laugh hysterically.
Euthanasia is a very sensitive and complex topic and I don't have a firmly set opinion on it. I'm pretty sure I would want it for myself, but having to make that decision for someone else would be terrible. But, trust me, if I ever do come to see things your way about euthanasia it won't be a result of a conversation with you. The only thing that can make me change my mind about something are calmly stated facts.
