I hope you feel better now. You were, after all, beaten or put out of the competition by what turned out to be the best in the world. And the second best of all time - four world championships. Only almighty Brazil has done better.

Maybe next year I'll pay attention to soccerfootball.

Then again, maybe not; I don't pay attention to "normal" American sports :p

Everyone to his own. But I have just come back from the most amazing party - the whole of Trafalgar Square and neighbouring areas were just choked with celebrating Italians. Then again, last time, when Brazil won it, the town seemed suddenly to be overran with celebrating Brazilians.

But you should not feel obliged to like anything except for the reason that you like it.

I only said anything because just about everybody I know who paid attention to any sport paid attention to the World Cup, so. I feel like the only person who didn't notice. ;)
