Yesterday...
Dec. 15th, 2005 10:37 am...all my troubles seemed just here to stay, now it looks as if they're far away, Oh I believe in yesterday.
If anyone did what I asked in the Christmas wish meme and prayed that the ongoing torture by bureaucracy I was suffering should end, congratulations, one of you at least must be pretty good at prayer. In a couple of days, the monstrous logjam that threatened to pull me under and drown me at any time has just broken up and vanished. Nearly all the money that I was owed has come in and I am safe and in the process of settling all debts and recovering my property. For the first time since the August fire, I feel confident that I will not be turned out of my flat in a couple of days and end up sleeping under a bridge.
