Mentally, I am married to DW. Whoever she may be married to - and wherever she may be. What you really should be asking is whether I shall ever be unfaithful to her. Well, I don't know.
3. What do you look forward to most in the next 3 months?
Harry Potter and the deathly hallows, getting out of debt (HA!!), getting some research done, straightening out my rooms.
4. Who was the last person you called?
My landlord.
5. Who was the last person to call you?
My mother.
6. Do you prefer to call or text?
I haven't texted anyone in five years, and I've forgotten how to do it.
7. Do you have any pets?
Only stuffed animals.
9. Your parents separated/divorced/married?
Separated.
10. When is the last time you saw your dad?
Last March, on his 69th birthday party. I mentioned it on LJ somewhere.
11. What happened at 11:00 a.m.?
I got out of the house to see some people from a government office.
12. How many states have you lived in?
Two.
13. How many houses have you lived in?
I am not sure, but I think something like 20. One reason why I loathe moving like the plague, and cling to every flat in turn, whatever the quality, like a limpet.
14. Do you prefer shoes/sock/barefoot?
Barefoot.
15. Are you a social person?
Uh... I make and lose friends with equal ease.
16. What was the last thing you ate?
Some sausagemeat I bought in a moment of madness, which I had to eat or throw away.
17. Favorite ice cream?
Kulfi. But I haven't yet found one ice cream I dislike... except perhaps lemon...
18. What is your favorite dessert?
Assorted Roman paste or, if I am feeling really dissipated, that incredible thing called cassata siciliana.
19. What is your favorite TV show?
Time Team (though I'd love to give Tony Robinson a good kicking), Buffy.
20. What kind of jelly do you like on your PB & J sandwich?
Hey, you! Not everybody lives in Yankeeland!
21. Do you like coffee?
More like need it. But yeah, I enjoy a good quality coffee too. Pity I am rubbish at brewing one.
22. How many glasses of water a day do you drink on average?
Two to four, but large ones. I always use a pint glass. More if my stomach is upset.
23. What do you drink in the morning?
A large cup of light coffee with milk.
24. Would you rather kiss someone with or without tongue?
Without, unless we are heading for horizontality. (And as for the likelihood of that, check question 2.)
25. Do you sleep on a certain side of the bed?
The computer side.
26. Do you know how to play poker?
I played it once, won, and retired undefeated.
27. Do you like to cuddle?
Any volunteers? No, I didn't think so.
28. Any plans for this weekend?
Lots of rest. I have had an exceptionally physically exhausting week. And it does not help that the essay on France is growing out of control... my fingers feel as though they had been replaced with rusty iron tire levers.

Home, of course.

Do I sound Baptist or Muslim?
34. Have you ever been in an ambulance?
Yup.
35. Do you prefer an ocean or a pool?
I don't care for either, but if I were having a summer holiday in the mountains, and it was warm, a pool would be a nice extra. Mostly, I am a mountain and countryside person. Almost unnatural, for an Italian - when I tell fellow-countrymen that beach holidays bore me, they look at me as if I had dropped in from Mars.
36. Do you prefer a window seat or an aisle seat?
Window, except on long flights. When flying to Australia, one learns that it can be unpractical.
37. Do you know how to drive a stick shift?
I do not know how to drive, period.
38. What is your favorite thing to spend money on?
Books. Music. Computer stuff. But I am also developing a taste for decent clothes and shoes.

Italian, French, English, a certain amount of German, Latin, and bits and bobs of half a dozen ancient languages - ancient Greek, Anglo-Saxon, Sanskrit, etc.

My friend Franco Urru. When in the mood, he can convulse people for quarter-hours at a time while keeping a perfectly straight face. In show business, Dario Fo.
