A friendly lurker sends me the following message:

I was reading some of your old lj entries and I came across an enthusiastic recommendation of LJbook.com. I used the website, and shortly thereafter my blog was hacked. I believe there's some correlation (I've e-mailed both the owner of LJ book and the owner of the proxy that hacked me to see if I can confirm this), as I did not immediately change my password. I thought I might warn you, seeing as you recced it and will probably use it again in the future.

Regards

I have not had any problems that I know of, but I am publishing this warning nevertheless - and changing my password just in case.

I see. They like it because it makes mass murder and cannibalism entertaining. Well, as a historian, I have had enough of that in my subject, and I must say that I do not see the fun in it. Hollywood, however, does, ever since The Silence of the Lambs and Fried Green Tomatoes. But then, an industry that relies on the regular destruction of its own personnel may not have any trouble with cannibalism. I wonder - has anyone ever checked the ingredients in Hollywood restaurants and caterers?

Oh no

Fictionalley seems inaccessible to Internet Explorer again. I hope they haven't had another breakdown - they have barely recovered from the last.
