For various reasons, personal as much as public, I have reached a point where I am no longer willing to put up with bad faith. I have just defriended and banned someone who promised to show that "Christians" are morally equivalent to the perverts who react to defeat by threats of violence; and then went on to produce Leviticus as evidence, as if it was not one of the basic doctrines of Christianity that the Old Law is abolished for Christians. At this point in my life, I do not have the endurance to put up with this kind of bad faith or prejudiced ignorance or both. By the same token, people who intervene with mindless restatements of faddish nonsense will have their interventions deleted without comment or explanation. If and when things get better, perhaps I shall be more willing to put up with rubbish, but the continued, ugly and painful grind in my private life simply does not leave me the patience to deal with moral rottenness and bad faith. I am not a saint and I have no delegation from anyone to argue with any twit who should turn up with a putrid idea and a lot of persistence. And since they will say that I delete their opinions anyway, I might as well be hanged for a sheep as for a lamb and do exactly what years of defamation have charged me with doing.

EDITED IN: The person whom I defriended published a post full of lies about the event. To judge the rest, anyone who is interested may like to know that she begged me to be placed on my f-list, twice; the first time through intermediaries, and the second in person. Now she denies it. It goes downhill from there. Well, have fun, honey. If I could be bothered to pick you up on all your lies, I would make you look like a rat, but I really have just had enough of this kind of crap.

So the world heard that a man had made a better mousetrap; and, of course, the world beat a path to his door.

The world had to break it down, because the inventor could not hear it. He was lying on the floor with his head stove in.

Investigations led to an alliance of mice and traditional mousetrap makers. But the investigators found it convenient to let the culprits go - except for one of the more unpopular mice, who was hanged as a scapegoat - because now they had nobody else who could make mousetraps.
