For the allusions to various cases, you may read the complete book, and if you haven't read it already I will be doing you a favour; but the two scenes, read together, represent one of the most profound and beautiful meditations on evil and human nature I have ever read, and an eternal rebuke to the eternal Pharisee that lurks (among other places) in far too many of our blogs.
