Hermione Granger, Mrs.Weasley, Loki, & Porthos are hiking in the Apennines when they find the ruins of an ancient hunting lodge where the poet Catullus shacked up with Clodia!
Loki absconds with the evidence to sell it to a Maltese media baron who hoards Classical MSS...
What is Loki's asking price?
Answer: I can't imagine Loki working for just money. Whatever it is he wants from the Maltese media baron is not going to be good for Odin or Thor.

Buffy has decided, as an economy measure, to sell something. What is it, and who buys it? What happens when they do?
answer: Buffy doesn't have much to sell, but one thing she can offer is beyond price. So she auctions off a day's full bodyguard duty by a Slayer. Anyone who had any reason to go into a war zone, negotiate a deal with dangerous mafiosi or mad terrorists, take a night trip through werewolf country, etc., could bid. The bidding went stratospheric.

Hermione Granger, Thor, and The Angel of the X-Men move to NYC to pursue their dream jobs and share a teeny tiny apartment. What sort of careers are they looking for?
answer: That's a surprising sidelight on our Hermione! We already know that Thor and The Angel went to NYC (The Angel, to be precise, to Westchester County, just up the road) to be superheroes. Does Hermione intend to join the AVengers?
[Bad username or site: eliskimo? @ livejournal.com]answer The Red Skull tries to poison the heroes. The Silver Angel drinks it all and doesn't feel any worse - you can't do a goddess a lot of harm. Whorf pounds the Red Skull and then buys drinks for everyone else.

So...if 1, 5, 9, and 15 were the Four Horsemen (Death, Famine, Pestilence and War).
Answer:
1) Lieutenant Whorf - War, obviously
5) Hermione Granger - death, in a perky, loquacious Neil Gaiman incarnation
9) Loki - Pestilence, I guess. He certainly is not death - that's his daughter Hel.
15)Milady de Winter from The Three Musketeers - Famine? Well, any meal offered by her is likely not going to do you a lot of good, since they are apt to be flavoured with poison.

Lieutenant Whorf, Inspector Lestrade, The Silver Angel and Hermione Granger met at a social event.
What was the event and what role was each playing in the event?
Answer: The event is a super-convention for ultra-rich fans of various fandoms, who actually get to meet the real heroes of their dreams. Lestrade is standing in for Sherlock Holmes, who would not be caught dead in such a public event - even for what the organizers (who are the Gods of Wealth of several pantheons) can offer him. Whorf and Lestrade, tough fighters both, get along suprisingly well. Hermione allows herself to be made drunk by a certain Marvel fan who hates the Harry Potter characters (you know who you are!) and is caught singing dirty versions of Christmas carols at the top of her voice. The Silver Angel is there for security - nobody knows who she is, after all - and ends up manoeuvering a very drunk Hermione out of the bar.

Santa Claus fakes his/her death.
Why?
Who's upset and who's in on it?
Answer: The Elves are in on it, of course. He and they all want a holiday, and the ONLY way to convince three billion kids not to send any more letters is to fake your own death.
