True. My master, and the greatest historian, perhaps, in the twentieth century, was a man called Georges Dumezil. He was outspoken and inventive, and trod on dozens if not hundreds of professorial corns. So one day, another historian - and a respected one, too, would you believe it = organized a symposium in London "about" Dumezil's work, without letting either Dumezil or any of his friends or supporters know it!!
