I offered [personal profile] pandoraculpa a drawing because she was feeling down, and she asked for "someone who is having more fun than I am". I guess that a picture of Harry finding out that flying is something that he does naturally might work. It's not one of my best, and I made a real mess of his torso, but I hope it at least looks cheerful enough.

You know, I think this is the happiest picture on my F'list so far today! It's wonderful to see art that really expresses how much *fun* the books are.

You've got a wonderful sens eof movement there or rather sense of life might be better. The body language is excellent.

As a con crit. I think the head a bit too large for teh overall body OR the body need to forshortened a bit more to achieve a better sense of perspective. The head is nearly the correct size of you are going for a bit a bird's eyes perspective; however, then the angle of the bottom half suggests an up shot.

Thank you! Wow, it really does look fun! And a difficult angle to work with too, so my hat's off to you. This brought an honest smile to my face when I saw it, too, and that's been a rarity lately.

I love the comic influence that shows up in your work. It's apparent in the shading, the draping and the dramatic angles, and it's very nice stuff. I'm familiar with comic styles, but can't seem to really capture them myself. But this has a wonderful sense of action to it, and you can really grasp the emotion of the piece. It's grand!

Thanks so much for the pick-me-up. And please let me know when/if I can return the favor, and offer YOU a picture!

Any time. Anything romantic - say Ginny and Harry with a background of Hogwarts castle and Scottish Highlands - would be great. But please, don't feel obliged - especially in view of the fact that this is not at all well drawn.

As for comic book influences - well, I used to be a cartoonist, didn't I tell you?
