A partial-birth abortion means a living, fully developed baby has had it's head exit the mother (but not it's torso), so that the doctor can more precisely ram the needle into the soft spot on the top of it's head, to ensure destruction and evacuation of brain matter, resulting in the infant's death.

So, you see, the doctor has to look the baby *in the face*, often while it's screaming and crying it's first breaths, before killing it. Partial-birth abortions are a level of cold callousness towards human dignity that gives me chills by just articulating it in written words.


No, that's not right; you've got it backwards. The head remains in the birth canal, and the foetus is pulled feet-first out.
