Well, I was wrong and [profile] super_pan was right

Evidently [personal profile] piratejenny has been unable to forget the fun I had at the expense of her rather peculiar identity and beliefs. And where there is a person who hates, there evidently are enough who are willing to waste an enormous amount of time indulging her pathetic obsessions. That is nothing new. (http://www.journalfen.net/community/fandom_wank/1117181.html?)

What I found disgusting was the presence of someone I always thought of as a human being. Thank you SO much, [personal profile] carlanime.

Aww. What happened this time?

Er... wha?

Piratejenny seems to have been deleted and purged. Is this an off-LJ incident you're alluding to?

Either way, and without actually having a clue what this is all about, I'm sorry you seem to have been the victim of online unpleasantness. :S

I edited the comment to add the link to the f_w item concerned.

I edited the comment to add the link to the f_w item concerned. Mind you, the person who started the thread has some reason to hate me - not a very good reason, mind you, but she has one. I once mocked her unmercifully and called her a power-crazed hag. That she deserved it all and has gone on to prove it to the hilt does not seem to enter her small brain. http://fpb.livejournal.com/184128.html

Thanks for the link. The level of discourse over there is... interesting.

Wouldn't you say? It opens a whole new field of experience.

Ah, yes. I saw that but didn't read it. I didn't want to know if I was dragged into it, as I commented on that post.

[livejournal.com profile] fpb misspells [livejournal.com profile] pyratejenni's name. (And I tend to write [livejournal.com profile] fbp, which is some girl's journal.)

I am sorry.

Are you out of your fucking mind, C-girl? The only apology owed is for not pointing out to him his critical life's error is confusing "born with a penis" with "being a man", for fuck's sake.

Yeah.

At least [livejournal.com profile] carlanime apologized; that's nice, right?

It still never ceases to amaze me how incredibly pitiful some people can be in criticising others for their opinions. Since when is it a crime to have a dissenting opinion over fiction with other people, most especially on the internet?

Granted, I did not read the f_w item in depth, I only skimmed it. But knowing your past history with [livejournal.com profile] pyratejenni and the rather inauspicious way we met, it doesn't take much of a leap for me to assume that you're having problems with people taking issue with anything you may have written about someone's view on the HP fandom, or something along those lines.

Oh blah Internet drama.

If she doesn't like what you've got to say, she shouldn't read it. It's not that hard.

I'm afraid the company you keep is exactly the issue here. In Italian: dimmi con chi vai e ti diro' chi sei. In English: you cannot touch pitch without being soiled. Notice how the secret police swung into action here? Do you really want friends who express themselves like the creature above just did?

You should do more than just skim.

Heh. That's OK. The real stinger is the person who suggests that she might be in love - and the fact that she seems to have designated a tag-category especially for me. Evidently my little suggestion about doing something more useful has gone right in one ear and out the other.

BTW, if it makes you feel better, I have landed on [profile] fbp's LJ three or four times myself. I even thought of making myself known, but I did not think the young lady and I had enough in common.

Pyrate Jenni is sort of an odd person. I'm willing to ascribe to this love theory. At least the hate sex would be good.

Now that would just be confusing.

The question is, does she have blue eyes? All the girls I ever fell for had blue, green or gray eyes - but mostly blue.

Anyway, forget about it. She'd probably enjoy it more than me - and then go on her LJ and comment on what a lousy fuck I am.

...According to a story I read in Agatha Christie and strongly suspect of having been a family tradition, young women in the time of William IV - the decade after Jane Austen - had a habit of dipping their evening dresses in water so they would stick to their bodies and show male guests at dances pretty much everything they wanted to see. Today, of course, such unhealthy proceedings are unnecessary.

I've heard about that too, but those who have tried it say that the dresses have a habit of not clinging effectively.

As a wise man once said of Lily and Snape, She repeatedly told him that she could not understand why he would choose the friends he did.

*sigh* I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to respond, but I am thinking about what you've said...
