In the village of Fiumefreddo, Sicily, lived a married woman whose tastes in bed were apparently no longer being met by her husband. Like many women before her, she found an alternative male. Unlike most of them, she decided that she really wanted her husband to leave her alone. And she insured it by feeding him a cocktail of various sleep-making chemicals in his evening meal every night. Unfortunately, her husband was not quite as stupid as she thought; and, after a few clinical analyses, the inventive lady found herself sent to spend a few years at the Italian taxpayers' expense, for administering a noxious substance.
