Yeah, that makes sense, and you're right, you did say that you didn't expect this to be acted on.

I think a lot of the neurosis is because of the mythology of the Constitution as a whole. A lot of people think "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." is part of the Constitution, because it just "has to be" or "sounds like it should be", and of course I'm certain you've encountered people saying "you can't tell me to shut up, my first amendment right is to say whatever I want!" or "$internet_site deleting my writing for content reasons is a first amendment violation!"
