Oh, by the way, there is something rather repulsive to me about placing the name of the great Stephen Jay Gould next to that of Richard Dawkins. It leaves the same bad taste in the mouth that one would get if anyone tried to approximate Gilbert Keith Chesterton and Ezra Pound. Ethically, intellectually, philosophically, the two have nothing in common.
