All right. Since you insist. The hero who saved the wizarding world is gay. The villain who is, at that time of day, still dreaming of Dark Lords and muggle massacres, is a well-off member of the upper middle class whose friends talk psychobabble as their second language and who employs a nanny to mind his five children. The hero has been dumped by his friends because he is gay, and has suffered a sentimental disaster; he is angry, hurt, drunk, and looking for trouble as a certain kind of angry drunk can be. Now, who should be offended? I say that the group who should be offended are rich heterosexuals who employ nannies and cultivate reactionary politics in their spare time. The only other grounds you have to be offended is if human nature offends you: men who have been dumped by their lovers do get drunk, and even angry drunk, and angry drunks do get offensive. Deal with it.
As for the comment thread, don't be ridiculous. GAY BAR can be found on ffnet, and anyone who can drive a computer can easily read the comments thread. You are either disingenuous or have not taken the trouble.
