Yes, but I think I can tell you that nobody would have written a story like that in the days of my youth, and that, if they did, it would never have been published or filmed. That is what struck me so much about Juno. Incidentally, I would say that redcoast is wrong in thinking that the US and international left did not dare attack Juno. In point of fact, the movie was shot more full of ideological arrows than a pincushion; but it merely shrugged them off and went on to score a huge box-office success. Which is significant in itself. And indeed, people did not fail to notice that something worth discussing had just happened.
