This has been a busy day

And unusually, the busy-ness has been due largely to Livejournal. My posts on the Gloucester, Mass, pregnancy pact, have generated a huge response, and I expect a bit more still.

ON the whole, it has been pleasant; but more tiring than anyone - including myself - could imagine. At the same time as the debate was starting, and quite independently from it, I suffered a relapse from a very occasional condition in my intestine, that tends to make weaker and sleepier than usual. I spent a good deal of today dozing off, and I am now quite exhausted. I will probably return to the matter, because there are things said by various people which require comment and expansion; but at present, I just want to say that I am having a wonderfully pleasant evening just re-reading the late Mark Gruenwald's classic Captain America Run of the eighties and early nineties, a brilliant and neglected piece of comics writing. It's like relaxing with a comfortable old blanket.

Hope you're feeling better. I've more comments after thinking about some of your posts, but the library will be shutting down it's computers in about 15 minutes and I'll be punted. (My monitor gave up the ghost, so I have to go to the library every day or so to get online.)

May I say a heartfelt, "Oh, Hell!" on your behalf? I actually have a spare monitor, but I do not imagine you are within cycling distance.

It's a lovely thought, but I don't think it would make it across the Atlantic very well!
