My friend, I don't care where he learned his manners; mention of Harvard was just an attempt to bring out his extremely patrician background. I mean that I regard his Texas manner as an affectation. As for Harvard, I have been at Oxford, and I found both kinds of affectation there. But I yeld to your knowledge of the American Cambridge.
