He was not unemployed and homeless, and had the support of his wife. It was just the classic American story of the insurance running out. And I assure you that the thought turns the stomach of any European. The idea that you should beg or die because you cannot afford to pay for your doctor is something we have outlawed for decades, and we do not miss it.
