More even than his exceptional coolness in a desperately difficult situation, it is the fact that Captain Chesley B.Sullenberger III, as the plane was slowly sinking into the Hudson, went through the aisle twice to make sure all the passengers and crew were gone, that tells us the kind of man he is.

I didn't know that! I was impressed enough that he landed so gently on the water (crashed so gently into the water) and that every person who had been aboard the plane got away from it alive, but that's even more impressive.

This actually falls in line with the sort of service I've gotten from crews of aircrafts. Flying might suck, but it's not because of the people who work there.

This man restored my faith in aviation, namely the possibility that you CAN actually land on water and not die. I will watch the security video, the part about deploying the inflatable boats, with less skepticism.
