Look at the last US election: what, except the desperate drive to have a black president at all costs - motivated by a devastating centuries-old and not unjustified guilt complex - could have led millions of Catholics and moderates of all kinds to vote for Barack Obama, whose views were all too well known? I am NOT, repeat NOT, comparing Obama to Hitler; except in that the willingness of many if his moderate supporters to blind themselves to the obvious is equally clear.
