Very sad. I suspected he was unwell when I saw his son taking over to write the last ones, but this is one specifically English voice disappearing.

Oh, that's too bad. My mother used to read his books all the time when I was little--I only ever read one, which I remember enjoying, but my leg was in a cast at the time so . . . Maybe I should try reading more sans painkillers.

Really, I recommend him. He has never to my knowledge written a really bad story, and his best are wonderful.
