About my left-hand ring finger...

...I have come to the conclusion that it is probably not actually broken. It must be chipped or something, because it still hurts, and it's stiff and a bit swollen, but I can type with it. As a matter of fact, type is the only thing I can do, because anything that asks for more strength is pretty much out. I have a feeling that it is getting better, but it still provides a background of steady, unpleasant bone pain to everything I do during the day.

It's not doing as much harm as your IUD, from what I hear. Actually, it happened a few days before Easter, when I fell over and all my weight went on my left hand. You can imagine the rest. But I shall be writing and posting again soon.

Fortunately, the progesterone in the IUD is working wonders for calming my innards down-- funny how it's more willing to accept something that counterfeits pregnancy than it would be to allow a chunk of metal. This whole mess has, however, convinced me that my future will contain numerous caesarean sections. END TMI NOW

And hand injuries are particularly worrying. There's a lot of delicate machinery in there, not to mention the body horror involved in any kind of hand damage. Be careful!
