Many thanks. How are things with you?

Things are great with me! Still a college student, though I transferred to a different university last fall, which has worked out well. Now just spending the summer working and trying not to melt in the humidity in New York. How have you been doing?

No worries about the username. It's not like I've been around much in, er, a year or two. :)

I'm in something of a holding pattern. Work is scarce because of the recession, but I am changing my flat to make it easier to use and more suited to work, and I think that will make a difference.

What are you studying?

Goodness, hopefully it will begin to pick up soon. The vague impression I've been getting is that the recession is even worse in the UK than it is here.

I am studying anthropology. Just locked into my course of study last month, actually. Looking into going abroad next spring for the semester, possibly South Africa, Tanzania, or somewhere else entirely. I'm trying to appreciate the limited responsibilities but multiple possibilities of student life while I'm still here. :)

Fancy that. I have a degree in Social Anthropology (I believe in the USA it's called Cultural Anthropology). Well, all the best with your future work, and I would be honoured if you stayed in touch. And thanks again.
