It's not something I would know about, but, for a start, why not try and locate Leslie's book? If it is as good as Chesterton claims (and a word of warning: Leslie was from the same literary Catholic camp as Chesterton, so GKC might possibly have seen more in him than was honestly there - although I regard GKC as the most honest of men) - if, as I was saying, the book is all that GKC makes it out to be, then certainly that kind of story would be dealt with.
