For the last four or five days temperature in London has been about 33 degrees in the daytime and rarely less than 20 at night, with no wind whatever and dreadful levels of humidity and pollen. Now the sky has covered, the wind is rising fast, and thunderstorms in the afternoon are promised, after which the temperature should fall by eight degrees or so. I have been gasping (literally) for this moment for days.

Can you shove some of those thunderclouds over here, please! It's *still* 33 degrees (though pollen show mercy on me this summer...).

Well, I've turned south-south-east in what I reckon is the approximate direction of Swabia, and I am blowing as hard as I can. Hope it helps! (Although tennis fans throughout the world following Wimbledon, and rock fans at Glastonbury, are going to have a thin time for the next couple of days. It's an ill wind...)

O good! This means tomorrow we’ll have the thunder and the rain. Thank God…

And as long Clysters wins Wimbledon, I wont be complaining =)

Wow, I can't believe the poms are complaining about hot weather. Mind you, 33 degrees (celcius, I'm assuming) is ungodly hot for your side of the world, so I think I can understand that much.

What I would give for your 33 degree days right now. I am just not designed for winter - even an Aussie one.
