An enchanted day

This was an exceptional day. From the beginning, the temperature, which had been oppressive in the last few days, had been perfect, warm but not stifling, with a pleasant light breeze. The sky was blue and sunny, and as I headed into town to get my copy, I found it oddly quiet and peaceful. Saturday is market day, and as a rule the centre of Ilford is crowded, noisy and freaking expensive. Today, however, it was peaceful.

The weather has held for the whole day. I just could not improve on it. I read, without disturbance, through an absolute masterpiece of a novel, full of novel insights on characters and situations we knew and loved, with music most of the time in the background. It will be a while before I have another such good day.

I agree. The more I think about the book, the more I realise how great it really is, especially in comparison to GoF and OotP. I knew you'd love the Voldemort backstory the second I read it: he really does become a stronger villain.

And all the anti-war allegory was so wonderful.

Oh yeah: and our best mate has now gone on to refer to JKR as a 'dirty c***' because OMG, poor precious got a hetero pairing instead of beloved TEH HOMOGAY.

I can't even type out the word in reference to JKR, who gives us zombielovin'. I think I've encountered the most immature human being on the face of the planet.

All right: I concede. This must be the militant left you speak of? I think I'll stick in the middle so I can piss everyone off equally. Heck I'm pro-both and I'd be ashamed to have someone behaving like that in on my side politically.
