Actually, one of the great things JKR has achieved with this novel has been, for the first time, to really make Voldemort a credible and frightful villain. Thus far, he had been purely a mask, but his treatment here - especially the dreadful concept that his attempt at immortality depends directly on the murder of others and the mutilation of his own soul - suddenly creates a concept that is wholly odious and worth fighting. Well done, JKR.

(Incidentally, does anyone else beside myself find JKR attractive?)

Sketch by your own hand, I presume, since you were doing comics?
I'm jealous.

As for JKR - she doesn't look bad is quite attracitve, quite British type, if I may say so, but she rather won't turn my head in the street.

Yes, not that it amounts to much. And I HATE drawing characters with glasses - they get so much in the way of drawing my favourite feature, eyes.

As for Joanne, I suspect we have different tastes in women. My ideal beauty is small, gentle but active, exquisitely shaped, with neat features and large eyes, and, for choice, blonde and blue-eyed. Here are two of my absolute all-time enthusiasms, Nicola Cowper and Trine Michelsen:Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.com

Whoops... trouble with image size. Well, at any rate, I hope you get my point. JKR, neat, smallish, blonde and with lovely eyes, is just about in the mainstream of my views. (Incidentally, only two of the four women I have fallen in love with at various stages in my life had anything like this kind of looks.)

I was so happy about Harry/Ginny - not because it's ever been my OTP, but because it's so sweet, and so clearly different to Harry/Cho.

Incidentally, I find glasses annoying to draw too - though mostly because they cast weird shadows on a person's face. I find they can actually magnify the eyes and I like that - but getting those shadows right is really hard.

I was so happy about Tonks/Remus, too. This book... oh, so good.

Answer no.1: you're sick.
Answer no.2: What on Earth does that have to do with anything I said?

Sometimes I wonder where people come up with these freakyshit pairings like Crookshanks/Dumbledore or ratPeter/McGonagall or babySirius/teacherRemus. Jesus fucking Christ, is normal, consensual adult sex not enough for people anymore?
