Late abortion

In Brieskow-Finkenheerd, Land Brandenburg, Germany, a woman of 39 had nine undesired pregnancies in her life. She let them go to term and then murdered the new-born babies. If she had murdered them before birth, she would be patted on the back and assured that she had exercised her sacrosanct rights. Because she did so a few hours or days after birth, she is treated as an object of horror. So much for rationality.

Yep.

I often ponder the rationale of it all.

Then it's hard to decide if it makes me more angry or sorrowful.

Then I have to work on not thinking about it.

Well, if you're too stupid to see the difference between a fetus and an infant, I don't hold out much hope for you.

A fetus isn't a human being. She should have aborted it. Failing that, she should have left the infant, which is a human being, at the hospital or a church or a police station.

The difference, as you call it, is a few hours. And you are an unreasoning, superstitious dolt who thinks that changing words changes facts. I leave this entry on my LJ as an example of the depths of stupidity to which abortion reduces people.

No, I think you're the stupid one. There is no substantial difference between the nearly-born and the born, unless you want to suggest that the method in which they recieve oxygen is "substantial". And any pro-legal-abortion argument which suggests otherwise is fairly idiotic. Stick with the comatose violinist argument-no other arguments hold any water at all.

Wow. An anonymous who takes my side - I mean, the side I'm on. (I would never be arrogant enough to call the great and brave pro-life cause "my" side.) Wonders will never cease. I realize that the argument made by Ms. (Mr.?) anonymous only holds for late abortions, and that s/he might agree with early or special-circumstances ones, but at any rate we agree on this matter. I might add that a child is not wholly an individual until at least his first year has passed, and that except for the breathing and feeding very little has changed; so, if anything, Anonymous One's argument would tell in favour of infanticide.

I think some of the outrage might be arising from the fact that the woman clearly didn't take responsibility even after the first time in regards to either abstinence or contraception.

That is harsh! i am pro choice but BUT not as a form of birth control. Not for women who do it over and over - I don't agree with that....rape, deformity, unexpected complications, abusive situation...maybe but not just for birth control.
