The appalling thing is that, if I had not come across this rebuttal first, I might have found the German report and taken it seriously - while, as appalling as the Lukashenko regime is, the whole story is one big pack of lies. No bloody wonder that Germans, especially the left-wing ones, seem at times to live in a world of their own.

Date: 2006-02-16 04:55 am (UTC)but anyway it is shocking to see this. I always thought we Germans can at least trust the serious news (such as dpa e.g.).. But it shows again, that far too often (if not always) journalism is not objective at all! So always be aware what you read..and if you have doubt, try to find another independant source about this topic!!
