I loathe this disgraceful kind of kill-the-game playing, without even any attempt to counter-attack. How can a self-respecting team actually set out to play for penalties? If they get there, it would suit my gutless countrymen right if the Spanish won.
EDITED IN: They deserved it. I am not happy, but this damned match was a disgrace and I hope it teaches the more gutless among my fellow-countrymen that being gutless does not pay. Two years ago, we won the World Cup under the guidance of the never-say-die fighter Marcello Lippi. This time we have been knocked out of the European Cup for refusing to take any risks. Porco di un Giuda schifoso, ragazzi, la volete imparare o no?!?
