Natasha Richardson 1964-2009
Mar. 19th, 2009 05:32 amWhat dreadfully sad news, and to such a nice person too. For all that she was the daughter of one of the most self-important political fools on the British stage (with due respect to talent), Natasha Richardson showed every sign of being a good egg: modest and likeable, cute rather than beautiful, lively and evidently grounded - she had one of theatreland's few permanent marriages, and I feel so sorry for her poor husband and children. Sometimes the unfairness of chance makes you want to scream.
