Natasha Richardson 1964-2009

What dreadfully sad news, and to such a nice person too. For all that she was the daughter of one of the most self-important political fools on the British stage (with due respect to talent), Natasha Richardson showed every sign of being a good egg: modest and likeable, cute rather than beautiful, lively and evidently grounded - she had one of theatreland's few permanent marriages, and I feel so sorry for her poor husband and children. Sometimes the unfairness of chance makes you want to scream.

I am very sad for her family as well. She was way too young and I can't imagine what a rending shock this is for them.

Yeah, I saw the news just after she went into hospital. They said she was in critical condition, and just that made me sad. You're right she seemed every bit a good person, and the news today of her death really hit me.

Its terrible for a person to die at such a young age and leave young children and a grieving husband. I have seen her in a few things and thought she was a good actress and a really nice person.
