A crime

A couple of days ago, I found through Freecycle that a family a mile or two from my flat was clearing out their cellar and giving away stuff - including a window cleaner, which I could use. By the time I got there, however, the window cleaner had been stepped upon and was past repair. However, what I saw in the skip where they were throwing away unsalvageable stuff simply took my breath away.

A friend of mine bad-mouthed the sixties not so long ago...

...now what follows may annoy other people even more, but this is what the sixties were about for most of those who experienced them:

Every image in this video shows that Cliff is still living in that world, though others have forgotten or perverted it. The hippies were wrong, but those who followed have been wronger still, and produced much less beauty.
