5) It's not love unless it turns your life and every one of your assumptions upside down. It's not love if it's nice and reasonable and reassuring.

Date: 2007-03-24 06:08 am (UTC)2) I would say that bad men want ego reinforcement in various ways. Better men tend to find their pleasure in giving it to her. Sex is not, in my view, a zero-sum game. But my experience is not extensive. You probably know nore in this area than I do.
3) It depends. Anyone can make a pleasant sound if they have music within them, but only a skilled professional is always capable of reaching a level where you know you could not follow.
4) There is a state board called NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) that evaluates new medicines as they become available, testing their effectiveness and their value for money. For instance, they would not be willing to authorize for general use a medicine that only prolongs life a little, and costs a lot. But of course every such decision involves a political battle.
5) All of the above. Doing favours for people used to be a particular favourite of mine when I was in love. Debbie learned to watch her mouth, because mention of, say, a record by an artist she liked and did not have tended to result in said record being in her mailbox the following day.
6) Heavens, I don't know. Some people whom I have a high regard for tend to hide their real personalities for fear of controversy. And some people who are absolutely marvellous and adorable - such as
