I am usually not very sympathetic to foreign criticisms of Italy, but in this case I say that the Americans are dead right.

So they're just complaining because the American fashion-critics aren't telling them that they're pretty, like they want them to? Seems silly.

Personally, I wish women's fashion would gear more towards outfits that look like space armor. Nothing gets the motor running like a chick who's wearing something that looks like it could deflect boltgun shells.

They had those in the eighties. Remember shoulder pads?

With very little exception, I've wondered who on Earth would wear the clothes I see being paraded down the aisle by those steely-faced, gaunt, heroin-addicts with no breasts. I've wondered that for many years. It seems only a slight portion of what is thrown up as fashion actually seems, well, remotely fashionable. It's usually the same stuff every years from the same people, just with different fabric with a slightly altered cut on a different model.

Of course, I'm just a one pair of tennies, one pair of church shoes type of guy.
