They already work in the music industry, the film industry and in politics. Why should Eurovision, which is part of two of the three, be any different?

Hey, aiming for the lowest common denominator is par for course in the Eurovision song contest.

Me, I thought Germany's was the only decent one out of the five or so I watched. If Roger Cicero were born a few hundred kilometers further east, he may even have won.
