FA standards

I just had a look at a few new fics on FA. I thought that the bloody site at least took grammar and spelling seriously. I will not mention the writers or the stories, but there were at least two that would have got a second-year schoolchild a fail mark for the sheer abundance of misspellings. I could not believe my eyes. And I used to get stuff returned for a misplaced comma.

What I fail to understand about the poor deluded fools who think they are doing me some harm by looking for places to place their little insults, is how can they fail to realize that this sort of thing, in the eyes of any sane observer, only says that they are obsessed with me. Which does not diminish my stature, but theirs.
(This is a secret I should not have revealed. Maybe they will take it to heart, leave me alone, and allow me to remain obscure and unknown. But then, probably not.)

I had my reasons - including a link I had no desire to let stand on my own LJ. As for being a lunatic, please, go ahead and repeat it. Then repeat it. Then repeat it. That is how you lot convince yourselves of anything.

Some moron posted about my supposed hatred of FA. As if that changed the fact that they are publishing badly ungrammatical fics.

The folly of these people is fantastic. I dislike the FA mods; to say that I therefore dislike the 4000 writers and 50000 members that make up FA is like saying that if you dislike Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld, you therefore dislike America. (Incidentally, I also heartily dislike the new cover layout. Add this to your backstabber thread.) And I dislike the people concerned for clear and specific reasons which they do not particularly care to rehearse - which is why the likes of Tybalt-Quin feature so prominently in backstabber threads. And the point remains: FA was supposed to have standards. Bad standards, but standards. Now apparently they are no more careful about what they take in than ffnet.

By the way, one of these clever people spoke of "defriending" someone I had never friended in the first place. I suggest that you check your loosely moving mouths or fingers, and make some attempt to know what you are talking about.
