Everyone's a critic

The weather does not seem to have a high opinion of Deathly Hallows. Local London forecast (the town being crowded with Sectus attenders and other Potter fans) expect incessant rain for tomorrow, and quite a threat of flooding. Whatever you do, kids, don't be caught in low-lying areas in south-east England tomorrow.

It's a conspiracy. The other night on TV we had a panel discussion with some woman who seems to be making a career out of appearing on talk shows to go on about how she has a signed note from the Pope confirming that JK Rowling is channelling Satan. (OK, I exaggerate slightly, but that was the gist of it.)

*sigh*

Oh, that one. I apologized for her as a Catholic on this blog, a while back when she was making the same noises.

Oh please, do link me to some article about this woman, a youtube video, anything. I love that kind of stuff.

I remember lambasting a cousin of mine for this same issue some years ago, when HP was just starting to make the headlines (she's a protestant). Yesterday's Washington Post carried a report on how Christian parents were offering their kids alternative books without the magic. How's that any nobody can write a series of stupid, hardly connected statements and everybody and his cousin will take it as divine revelation?
