praise and thanks where they are due

Considering the amount of praise I got for my sonnet on friendship, I think it's about time I gave praise where praise was due - the sonnet is little more than a versification of CS Lewis' magnificent chapter on Friendship, in The Four Loves. Anyone unlucky enough not to have read that book yet - do it at the first opportunity.
