We did not deserve to lose - especially not by that margin.

Football can really break your heart.

Honestly, the way the Dutch were playing today, they could have beaten anyone in the tournament, anyone in the world in fact.

We didn't play that badly ourselves. And the first goal was the most appalling offside I have seen in a lifetime of soccer fandom. Defeat I could handle, but 3-0 was unfair - 2-1 would be closer to my view of what was fair.

We abandoned Bible group half way through after we got the 1-0 news. One Italian, two Dutchies, one Brit and one Slovak. The Italian was massively outnumbered!!

(did have a bit of sympathy with him though :S )

Football is an unatural game. No pig ever had a bladder that shape!

I can only hope that Italy recognises this and more people turn to rugby.....

Right, so we can get kicked around by South Africans, stomped on, AND have our genitals felt during scrums? I DON'T THINK SO....

(And if you think I'm exaggerating about having our genitals felt, that is why I never played rugby again.)

It took place during a rugby game. I do not remember any other occasion where I had any problems.

I felt like turning to the Bible after the second goal - specifically, the Book of Job.

Actually, The Dutch team really surprised me and I felt that they deserved to win. I know that the first goal is controversial and if something like that happened against the team I support I would call it of-side as well. But, the Dutch team did deserve a penalty before (Buffon didn’t toutch the ball but had Van Nistelrooy). And the second goal was just a real beauty.
But 3-0 is hard, I hope that Italy learns from it and hope that they qualify for the next round together with Netherland.

I have to agree with it. Football is emotions, good and bad.
