Thanks! I managed to avoid most of the heat by exploring various churches (Il Gesù, S. Maria sopra Minerva, and a tiny chapel to San Gregorio tucked away in a back alley off the Via della Scrofa), and by indulging in gelati while outside. So, on the whole, it was a good day despite the heat!

What makes me sick is that I know all that part of the city centre as well as any tourist guide. Including all the good ice-cream joints. If Ryanair had not made it impossible for me, we could have had fun together. And my mother works just on the other side of Corso Vittorio Emanuele from where you have been.
