I am turning into a bundle of stupid little ailments. Today was scheduled to shift around some furniture and its contents to improve my flat. I woke up with stiffneck. Stiffneck. I haven't had that since my teens, I think. And it made all the bending over and physical work very painful. I still need to do the furniture shifting, so I have been doing it slowly and carefully, because every time I awaken the demon in my neck, it is worse than being stabbed.

I'm so sorry you have the stiff neck, fpb. Please do be careful. And it may be silly to even mention it, but some sort of painkiller may help. I sometimes don't think about taking painkillers, and when I do and it works, I am so pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for your concern. *hugs* I have taken an embrocation for muscle pain, called "Deep Heat" - I don't know if you have it under the same name in the States - which has helped me in the past with back pain, but this time it does not seem to do much. Holding a hand over the affected muscle for a long time seems to help, but I cannot spend a day with my left hand pressed to my neck!
