That these rumors have to be debunked is absolutely astounding. Do people actually believe this nonsense? I mean, look at number 13!

On that note, would it be alright if I were to add you? Your entries are really interesting, and I'd like to keep up with them. :D

By all means. But be warned: people get mad at me, or I at them, with alarming regularity. There is a reason why this blog is called "Reflection of a stormy petrel".

I'll keep that in mind! I'm not much of a fighter, though-- like a depressing number of kids my age, I don't have many concrete opinions on anything political. I'm just trying to keep my ears (well, eyes in this case) open and learn as much as I can about what different people think. :)

Some of the people you get mad at do not get mad in return, however.

Politics As Usual

Rumors of this type fly freely so close to a major election. In some cases, even afterwards. Plenty of rumors are swirling around Obama as well, including claims that he is a Muslim, refused to visit American soldiers in Germany, that his wife hates America...it's really absurd, the whole business, and it's depressing that more people aren't paying attention to the real issues of the respective campaigns.
