The morality, responsibility and consistency of those who voted for the winner may be gauged by the statement - which I have already encountered three or four times - that they "hope" that those of us who warned them against him were wrong.

Hope.

They have elected a politician to the most powerful post in the West based on what they hope he will prove.

Such appalling insouciance and irresponsibility is certain to be punished. God may delay His punishment for sin - often to the next world - but He never intermits anything to the punishment for stupidity, which is always paid, and paid strictly and with plenty of interest, here on Earth.

Listen, mate, on my own blog I say what I like. If you have anything to say, do so on your own. One more criticism out of your ill-informed mouth and I shall spare myself a lot of wearisome answers by banning you right now. I have had enough of people who think to judge what I say or do without knowing the least thing about me. Evidently arrogant superficiality is an Obamaniac characteristic. And yes, if you don't like this kind of snap judgment in your face, don't indulge in it.

Apology accepted - and I take back what I said. But I still say that you know nothing about me, or you would neither have suggested that I take the history of Nazism lightly, nor told me that Marvel comics are not worth analyzing. That is one of the things I do - study popular culture, and especially comics. I also used to write and draw them, for that matter.
